Country Christmas Idea: Milkweek Pod Poinsettia Ornaments
Country Christmas Idea: milkweed pod poinsettia ornaments At first glance, milkweed Easter plants and seem to have much in common. If you live in an area where milkweed grows wild, but can use the dried pods of milkweed poinsettia ornaments to make your Christmas tree. Here's how: 1 Pick up some dried milkweed pods. In the fall, milkweed plants have already been dry seeds, but the case was still attached to the plant. You need six half of a milkweed pods of each poinsettia flower will do. 2. After collecting milkweed pods and were in the house, save them in a warm place for a few days or weeks dry. This is particularly important if there was rain and moisture. 3. Paste the milkweed pods halves together side by side in a circle if you look like a flower. A hot glue gun works well to hit the pods whole. 4. Decorate your poinsettia flowers and paint flakes, or, if you do not want to spray paint your Easter, just use glue and glitter. Mix and match and experiment with colors. 5. Glue a loop of rope, wire, tape or wire on the back of the poinsettia flower. When the glue is dry, the ornament is ready to hang on the Christmas tree. You can also give as gifts - four or six to define, but many, or who want to give. About the author Leanne R. Ralph is a freelance writer in the west central Wisconsin.
