The Origins of Mothers Day

Mother's Day is in many countries, a day to celebrate motherhood and thank you for the mother. Mothers often receive gifts on this day, and is an excellent opportunity of the year for e-mail. In 1973, U.S. Postal Service was held up to 8 days because of the constant flow of letters and cards.

Mother's Day has evolved in many countries in different ways. This is because Mother's Day has a different origin in different countries and, therefore, takes place on different days of the year.
